Celebrate Valentine’s in Seattle

Shiro’s offers a specialized sushi platter for those that prefer to celebrate at home. The Valentine’s Weekend Sushi Platter, for takeout only, is an indulgent dinner for two that includes: six kinds of nigiri (two pieces each), six kinds of sashimi (two pieces each), a grilled fish appetizer, and much more in the platter for two.

Rasai
Rasai presents a thoughtful, modern approach to Valentine’s Day with a 5-course tasting menu offered only on February 14. Local ingredients get an elevated hand with European cooking techniques applied with Indian flair and spices, such as Tandoor Quail stuffed with raisins and cheese and served with shahi korma gravy, or Gatta Ravioli with chickpeas and spinach, paneer scramble and garlic walnut sauce. The chef’s menu, carrying a red color theme across the courses, is $85 with an inspired $50 optional wine pairing.

Ray’s Boathouse
Enjoy a stunning Valentine’s dinner on the waterfront! Ray’s first floor Boathouse will offer a delicious three-course menu featuring Dungeness Crab, Filet Mignon, Lobster, King Salmon and a rich chocolate dessert February 10-14 for $70 per person (excluding tax and gratuity).
Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made online. The Boathouse will serve its regular menu alongside the special three-course and is open for dinner daily from 5-9 p.m. (last seating at 9 p.m.).

- Baby Beet Salad whipped goat cheese, watercress, blood orange, crispy beet chips
- Citrus Carpaccio with Dungeness Crab & Avocado, citrus vinaigrette, arugula, candied pine nuts, Fresno chili curls

Locals can marvel at beautiful water and mountain views at Ray’s Café while they enjoy Valentine’s specials February 10-14! The Café’s full menu will be available in addition to the specials from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (last seating at 9 p.m.). Café reservations are only accepted on Tuesday, February 14 online and are strongly recommended.

The Flora Bakehouse
The Flora Bakehouse in Beacon Hill is offering a sweet deal this February! They will donate 100% of the proceeds from their hear-shaped iced sugar cookies to Cleveland High School’s Class of 2023 Senior Prom. The cookie will be available for sale from Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14 for $5 each.
Other festive Valentine’s items including their incredibly popular heart-shaped Linzer cookie and pink and white striped unicorn horn meringues will also be available from Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14. (Proceeds from these will not be donated – only the iced heart-shaped cookie.)

Cafe Flora’s dine-in four-course Valentine’s Day menu will be available starting at 5pm on Tuesday, February 14. Reservations are required and available at 206-325-9100. The special holiday menu is $85 per person (only available for dine-in) and the entire menu is vegan, gluten-free and available nut-free.
First: savory buckwheat crackers with eggplant malidzano, kumquat-shiso chutney, almond crema, grilled bok choy, pickled oxbow farm daikon
Second: winter greens, watermelon radish & chilled green beans in a creamy sesame dressing
Third: asparagus-miso risotto cakes in a spiced lemongrass sauce with oxbow farm kabocha – acorn squash smash, maitake and shimeji mushrooms, pickled star fruit & local micro nasturtium
Dessert: theo’s dark chocolate mousse on a graham cracker crust enrobed in chocolate ganache, with raspberry coulis and coconut whip

Rapport
The self-pour wine bar, Rapport, is launching a new Oyster Brunch just in time for Valentine’s weekend. The aphrodisiac bivalves will debut February 11 and 12, and continue every weekend, sourced straight from the local waters of Thorndyke Bay by Baywater Shellfish Co. As the star of brunch, Baywater Sweet Oysters will be served on the half shell (by the dozen or half dozen) with classic mignonette, alongside the much-loved brunch of Southern favorites including buttermilk biscuits, shrimp and grits, vegetable hash, eggs benedict, and more.
In true wine bar style, Oyster Brunch will also feature grower champagne by the glass, specifically Louis Nicaise Champagne, selections of endless mimosas (classic orange juice, pineapple juice), as well as recommending several of oyster-friendly self-pour sections, including muscadet.
